Equation: mathematics a statement that the values of two mathematical expressions are equal (indicated by the sign =) – sophofbread

Allegiant: Loyalty or the obligation of loyalty, as to a nation, sovereign, or cause. – sophofbread

Polyhedron: plural is polyhedra. A solid that has a surface area which is a series of polygons. The name of the polyhedron is related to the number of faces it has. – sophofbread

Limewater: An alkaline solution of calcium hydroxide in water. Used to test whether carbon dioxide is present in a solution (limewater will turn cloudy when mixed with carbon dioxide) – Found while researching chemical reactions in a science textbook. – artybaker

Titan: A person or thing of great strength – found while researching the dinosaur Giraffatitan (pronounced: giraffe-a-tie-tan, name meaning: giraffe titan, or strong giraffe) – artybaker

Gateau: A rich cake with layers of cream or fruit –  looked up in preparation to make Black Forest Gateau! – artybaker

Wigwam: A dome-shaped or conical dwelling made by fastening mats, skins or bark over a framework of poles. Similar to a tepee – found in an English textbook and looked up because it sounded funny! – artybaker
